Catherine Jefferies began Yummy Bubby as a healthy, baby food business that delivered nutritious meals to mums around the East Coast of Australia.

Yummy Bubby has now developed to become on online information resource and blog, for parents of children aged 0-16 years. She is the editor and founder of Yummy Bubby. Catherine lives in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney with her young daughter Siena, who is now 6 years old and who is slowly, but surely asserting herself in the household.

Catherine currently spends much of her time picking up pink pieces of plastic and miniature clothes, bags, hats, phones and shoes. For the uneducated, this is called a 'Barbie Explosion' and occurs naturally at least once a day in her home... Share her culinary adventures with Siena as she navigates childhood for the second time... shoe on the other, or wrong foot??!!

Corn and zucchini fritters

It’s 5.30pm, you’ve had a glass of wine and you are thinking about dinner for your kids and feeling a little peckish yourself...wouldn’t it be great to combine both in one easy step?  Fritters or patties are always great for this particular purpose. Let’s face it, you’ve got to look after yourself too whenever possible!

You can have your cake and eat it too!

Something that I find increasingly difficult to manage with my daughter, Siena, who is nearly 5 years old, is her sweet tooth.

Hints for Storing & Cooking Food

Enjoy fresh foods at their best, with these helpful tips.

* Fish can be frozen for eating at a later time. Chicken can also be frozen, but will keep for up to two to three days in the fridge. Thaw before cooking.

'Variety' is the spice of life!

Quite a few times I've mentioned in this blog about the importance of making your child's food interesting and how important that is in helping to get them to eat well. There are a number of ways this can be achieved.

Salads For Kids

How do you get your child to eat salad? This is a difficult question and the answer will not be the same for each child.

The Essentials

It's hard to choose what to give your toddler or child to eat each day; carefully planned nutrition must provide an energy balance and a nutrient balance.

What's In It?

What's in a smoothie? What's in banana bread? A muffin? You always need to ask!

Going out to a cafe with is a normal part of the week for babies, toddlers and older children, but what of the choices available at cafe's?
