My name is Cath Jefferies. My interest in food began as a young child - helping Mum cook in the kitchen, which, over time, developed into a passion and a career.
yumbub250x278.jpgAs a busy mum of a young toddler, I realised that many parents wanted to feed their young babies fresh, homemade food, although work commitments quite often get in the way. With little time, preparing the meals can be a hassle. I also found that parents really wanted to encourage their toddlers to eat the kind of food that they were eating, as soon as they could, so that preparing an extra meal especially for them, was not an option. So I started Yummy Bubby – healthy food for bubs and tots, delivered to your home or work .

I’ve made the Yummy Bubby meals to encourage my toddler to start eating the types of meals adults eat by introducing them to flavours and combinations of food that compliment each other.  I consulted with a qualified Naturopath and so the combinations of food encourage optimum absorption of nutrients.

In creating Yummy Bubby I have come across many baby and toddler feeding issues. I’ve discovered many mums confront the same problems and I invite you to share your questions or issues with me in recipe talk . Look forward to hearing from you, Cath.

You can have your cake and eat it too!

Something that I find increasingly difficult to manage with my daughter, Siena, who is nearly 5 years old, is her sweet tooth.

Hints for Storing & Cooking Food

Enjoy fresh foods at their best, with these helpful tips.

* Fish can be frozen for eating at a later time. Chicken can also be frozen, but will keep for up to two to three days in the fridge. Thaw before cooking.

'Variety' is the spice of life!

Quite a few times I've mentioned in this blog about the importance of making your child's food interesting and how important that is in helping to get them to eat well. There are a number of ways this can be achieved.

Salads For Kids

How do you get your child to eat salad? This is a difficult question and the answer will not be the same for each child.

The Essentials

It's hard to choose what to give your toddler or child to eat each day; carefully planned nutrition must provide an energy balance and a nutrient balance.

What's In It?

What's in a smoothie? What's in banana bread? A muffin? You always need to ask!

Going out to a cafe with is a normal part of the week for babies, toddlers and older children, but what of the choices available at cafe's?

Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind

If you opened the fridge and saw a chocolate bar there and an apple, which would you go for if you were a toddler? This is a rhetorical question...
